What I mean is can gravity ( which slows time, according to the strength of the field), instead in fact be considered to be slowing down the propagation of energy through a medium?

Possibly through other means, be it through added spacial turbulence creating longer journeys for energy particles or some other theory?
If I understand most of the basic theoretical concepts, if energy is not actually lost, but instead slightly delayed (though this may create a measurable loss of energy it’s self), would not most of those theories still be technically accurate?

And if gravity can be thought of as affecting energy speeds, as opposed to warping space-time, would this not possibly remove the idea of Time as an alternate Dimension, and instead purely a psychological constructed result of energy flow in the universe.
Im afraid my math skills are rather limited. After lookin at oldprof’s information I originally thought that there must infact be a "time" quantity, however after reading it a few more times I am not so sure again. Using the idea of frequency.
If a pendulum swings as it approaches a gravity well, the closer to the gravity well, the slower the pendulum "appears" to swing, but as it travels further away from the gravity well the pendulum appears to swing faster. so while energy appears to have decreased, infact it has stayed constant inside the system (the pendulum). If the energy moving the pendulum simple took longer to act inside the gravity well, would this not also produce the time lensing effect percieved??
