Do a search for Indiana Wind Farm and I think you’ll find Indiana is doing a lot of very large wind farms. Believe me there are parts of the state that are very viable for wind power.

Indiana is not the best place for Wind Turbines.Richmond has class 1-2 winds about 0 to 14 MPH at 50 meters. This is not enough for wind power to be viable. Its all about location.Class 4 wind and higher is really what you need. Also turbines have many moving parts and do breakdown.I ran solar and wind for 4 years.Turbine broke a blade and was hit by lightning twice.Never had a problem with the solar.

You guys are on the right course, but have quite some way to go. Look to Denmark, home of modern windmills (according to Jean-Michel Jarre!) for the several-megawatt turbines necessary to make wind a force to be reckogned with in the energy policy…
