How tall is your wind mill
March 16th, 2009 at 3:16 am
certainly can!
March 16th, 2009 at 10:11 am
can you run your hole house on this fabulous bit of kit?
March 18th, 2009 at 2:38 am
Thats total bull **** small wind turbines are efficient for a small amount of power for your house they are just not efficient for large wind projects. Small wind turbines on average reach their max generation of power at the same wind speed as commercial wind turbines do if not sooner. Small wind turbines are very efficient for your home, farm, or school.

are you stupid or are you just an idiot?

Most birds instinctly avoid moving objects, glass windows are probably a bigger threat …
March 26th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
Is it intermittent and non-productive a large amount of time? Does it have to be maintained constantly? Has anyone turned epileptic from the shadow flicker? Are they noisy? Have they chopped-up any birds yet? Isn’t a cooling tower or a smoke plume from a coal plant much easier to look at? Wouldn’t you rather worry about a radioactive leak?

uber bird blender! jkjk nice turbine.
March 31st, 2009 at 5:21 am
How dangerous is this for birds?
April 3rd, 2009 at 1:42 pm
540cm diameter and I am getting about 4.5 mwh a year
April 4th, 2009 at 7:30 am
whats the diameter of that and how much kwh are you getting per day?

See w/w/w.renew-reuse-recycle(.)com for all the details

Something to bear in mind:
When buying a smaller wind turbine always ask what the energy payback period is. Smaller turbines are often nowhere near as efficient as the larger turbines.
‘Dirty’ Energy used to manufacture and install a large wind turbine is often paid back in terms of clean energy from the wind turbine in about 3 months. However with some of the smaller systems this may take many years and your environmental goodwill may not be as impressive as you first assumed.
SHOP CAREFULLY!

What type of wind generator is this (brand , do you have any specs for it and how much did it cost.
April 12th, 2009 at 4:50 pm
Probably foolishly I bid on a 12dvc generator/motor off ebay..any ideas on propeller designs (vertical or prop) that might be a good mate for it? This is my first attempt at wind/power..thanks for any help..Mike/Brooklyn

I thought they were quiet; that thing sounds just like a helicopter flying over.

Great thanks, are you pleased with it, any draw backs…? Will go to the site now, tell me about DIY style turbines when you have time. Am in the middle of the pyrenees, wondering how to get through all the permissions.happiness to you with thanks

My turbine cost $600.00 at survivalunlimited(dot)com. But now I do DIY style turbines.Yes,a house can rely on turbines or a single turbine depending on your needs.

it is rather small and 6 kW isn’t much, but if everybody does this, energy problems will be gone. And the shrinking oil won’t be that large problem
